Liches are once living creatures that have preserved their existence by powerful magics that imbue them with negative energy. They are often powerful mages capable of controlling the necessary magic, or they had the help of such mages or other powerful creatures. Some will possess weapon skills.

They tend to grow in power over time, and usually must maintain the energies that preserve them or perish.
