A zombie is the common term for the animated (through necrotic magic) body of a once living creature. Many zombie's are humanoid or goblinoid, but magic of sufficient power can animate all sorts of creatures, including giants.
While unthinking and capable only of executing the simplest of instructions, they can be dangerous foes since they do not run away and will carry on their orders until completely destroyed.
