• Anzar the Mad, Scholar: Expert on experimental magic and the construction of powerful magic items. While obviously a genius, his writings were very inconsistent. In between the ramblings of a madman can be found some amazing information for those who can comprehend it.
• Armain, Sage: She is an expert on the relationships between the humanoids and goblinoids and their various cultural aspects. Considered thorough and reliable.
• Dundle, Sage: Known for his writings on quirky subjects and trivia. Reliable and accurate, although some of his writings must be taken in context.
• Githwin the Bard: The well-travelled bard's writings are based on his first hand experience and keen observational skills. Considered thorough and reliable. For more information: Githwin the Bard. Real contributor: M.R. Cook.
• Jhane: Jhane's writings on the world's militaries are highly respected for their accuracy and concise nature. Jhane's identity is not known, although it is believed that many different sources are used to provide the raw data.
• Lorentz the Loquacious, Adventurer: Expert on languages and their histories. Lorentz went by so many names his real one has been lost. It is said he could talk his way out of anything, and some of his stories stretch belief.
• Rollo the Fair, Bard: Widely traveled and wrote guides about the cultures of various nations. While he visited many of these nations, he also used other sources he had vetted. Considered thorough and reliable.
