Feral, small, vaguely humanoid looking creatures roughly 2 feet tall. Extremely thin with spindly arms and legs but a large mouth filled with many sharp, pointy teeth. They are nomadic and travel in large swarms- eating any meat (dead or alive) from small insects to the largest creatures. Cannibalistic and eat their own dead or severely wounded. Tend to get very aggressive when their swarm gets too large. They are named for their characteristic “chit” sound they make.

They overwhelm (grapple) larger prey by bringing them down through sheer numbers. They will stop attacking when the prey is consumed, they are satiated, or (rarely) they have no ability to consume their target. Since they consume their own, creating lots of casualties among them is a counter tactic for surviving a swarm.
