Some wags say there are as many religious orders as there are sentient creatures in the world. While undoubtedly an exaggeration, there certainly is an order for about every taste. There is some debate on the mainstream orders vs. the underground ones, but in general the category reflects the order's ability to live openly in their respective societies.
