A scroll contains a Spell which can be Cast by a Mage capable of Casting that Spell Level. Most Mages use scrolls to Cast Spells that are not part of their Spell lists. The Caster expends the appropriate Magic Endurance Points and the scroll is destroyed in the process, as it is used to channel the magic into the Inscribed Spell.
